Guido Tielman is the new Consul-General of the Netherlands in Chongqing. As a sinologist and diplomat it is indeed a dream come true for him to have been asked to establish the new Consulate-General here. Those interested can follow our activities in Chongqing on Facebook. The CG is currently still located in a temporary office at the Regus in the Yangzi Int’l. In the second half of this year we expect to move to our permanent office premises. Once officially opened, our chancery will include so-called ‘incubators’, a temporary work place for Dutch companies doing business in Chongqing, where they can connect to the internet, make copies and print and obtain information and advice from my staff and myself. And of course, a place where they can get a decent cup of coffee.
